Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate.
Job Type: Full Time.
Summary: The Shipping and Receiving Associate will be responsible for the efficient and accurate completion of day-to-day shipping duties and objectives.
Responsibilities: As the Shipping and Receiving Associate you will:
- Ship materials using the ERP system and process shipping documents according to established policies and procedures.
- Create bills of lading, packing slips, and Customs documentation for outgoing materials using our ERP System.
- Verify the information on the shipping documents matches the information in the ERP System.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks or hand trucks to prepare and stage materials for shipping.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of materials in the stock shipping area.
- Label products with part number, description, quantity per container, and order number.
- Load and unload trucks and vans.
- Collaborate and assist material handlers in the picking, staging and inventory of materials in the stockroom locations.
- Interfaces with internal customers including, purchasing, accounting, quality, manufacturing, sales, and program management to resolve issues in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in accurate inventory and cycle counts as requested.
You’re a great fit for this position if this describes you;
- High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in a production facility, shipping, receiving or materials handling.
- Basic knowledge of Empirical and Metric hardware.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Skilled at performing basic shop math calculations (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, measuring, weighing and converting decimals).
- Proficient in current computer software: MS Applications; PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
- An understanding of ERP systems, Syteline experience preferred; Shipping software experience a plus; Pace Jet and UPS Worldship experience preferred.
- Able to meet deadlines and understand the department schedule.
- Forklift certified or able to be forklift certified.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for up to 10 to 12 hours per day if necessary.
